The city of Wilmington, Ohio and Clinton County were devastated in 2009 when DHL Air Freight closed its Wilmington hub. This closure resulted in the elimination of approximately 8,000 direct jobs, and several thousand indirect jobs in local companies in this small farming community. Wilmington's situation has been featured on CBS "60 Minutes", the NBC Nightly News, the Rachael Ray Show, and others.
